This past month saw both the start and the completion of several Jewish heritage restoration projects. Among them, restoration work has begun in Jewish cemeteries in Kaunas and Vilnius, Lithuania. In Kazan, Russia, the century-old synagogue was rededicated with a festive ceremony. And the synagogue in Nowy Sącz, Poland, which long housed a museum, is being used again for services and is slated for renovation.
